BCM Summer 2020 Update
“Changing Lives that Change the World” looks a little different today. My preferred method is sitting across the table, playing crazy games, incredible worship with a BCM band on a college campus, or hanging out at the beach and of course playing putt-putt golf! Changing a life through a text, phone call, video screen, or standing 6 feet apart is now the required method. Our God is an amazing God. Allow God’s word to strengthen and challenge you.
Paul writes from prison in 2 Timothy 1:6-7, “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gives us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” (NIV)
Reading God’s word should challenge each of us with direction in life. The self-discipline it takes today to study in creative ways, meditate and memorize scripture, reach out to individuals we don’t see every day, or at least weekly, is vital. The self-discipline to follow CDC guidelines and government regulations is another way to be a great part of our communities.
The desire to be Christ-like in our community means that we have to cancel the annual Beach Week Retreat for 2020. We have waited, praying the situation would get better, but it has not. The new guidelines established in the past few hours, with possibly more to come, pressed us to make the decision now.
Our prayer is that you will enjoy your time, wherever that may be. Please put on your calendar our statewide BCM Retreat, October 9-11 at Camp Cowen. We will continue to be creative and minister any way possible. It is now your turn. Find a way to connect with people. Serve God in mighty ways and get out of your comfort zone. Rely on the Power of God and be his instrument as you demonstrate the love of God! I miss you!

Reaching College Students
Reach 20 is a initiative where we are looking for 200 people to commit to giving $20 per month to help us reach the next generation of college students. Would you be one of those individuals?
Roger Adams, Marshall Director
"I have had a great life in ministry, and while I do not want to rank them, BCM would be right at the top! I still believe this is one of, if not the most important ministries of the West Virginia Baptist Convention."
Beach Week 2020
Join a hundred other college students for a fun week of worship, Bible study, and relaxation on the Beach. This year's Bible study leader will be Kristy Engel, a global consultant with International Ministries.
