BCM Impact Statements

Each newsletter highlights how BCM has impacted and continues to impact the lives of both alumni and current students.  In addition to the alumni spotlight held by Myles Hutton this month, below are some brief impact statements from alumni and current students.  It is always encouraging to know the impact of a ministry in the lives of those it touches.  May you be encouraged by these examples of BCM’s impact in the lives of participants.

“BCM has given me a consistent group of believers and lifelong friends that have pushed me to grow in my faith throughout my years at Marshall.”-Ethan Miller, a 2020 Marshall University graduate.

"Discovering BCM was the best thing that ever happened to me while I was at Marshall.   BCM gave me the opportunity to meet new people and other college students who loved the Lord.  Being able to worship Christ with other people my age was absolutely amazing.  I looked forward to going to school so I could talk to my friends about the Bible.

The most humbling experience was being able to help lead people in worship through playing the piano.  Psalms 150:6 says 'Let everything that hath breath, praise ye the Lord.'   Serving the Lord through playing in the band has helped me grow in my faith.

My favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 26:3 'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.'  I have learned through BCM that no matter what is going on, trust God and leave it in His hands, and He will work all things out!"- Jesse White, a recent Marshall graduate in Accounting & Finance from Kentucky who is heading to South Dakota for a job.

“Through BCM, God was able to fulfill a need for community for so many people when we needed it the most. This semester, through its many changes, brought some frustration but better yet brought a lot of strength and growth not only within myself but many others within BCM.”-Jenni Rosenberger, a current BCM student at WVU.

"BCM gave me the community that I needed. It allowed me to surround myself with people that pushed me toward Christ. BCM gave me the accountability that I needed and taught me how to work well in Christ focused leadership. I have BCM to thank for helping me mature my faith to another level in college!"- Trent Rodbell, graduate of Marshall University.
